According to my astute calculations, you are in Italy today. Waiting to hear about London…
Halfway through your Italy tour, and everything sounds like it’s going great! Have fun!
Hi Ryan! Yes, we are currently in Sienna, Italy! We were able to watch the preliminary race to the Palio tonight! It was amazing!! More to come, once we catch up on our journals and blogs. We really have enjoyed Italy and only have 3 more days before traveling to Turkey!
Looks like things are going well! I love the pics and stories! Cant wait to hear of more adventures! Take care!
MC and HNY to you vigorous and enviable world travelers. I sit in my Barcalounger while I read your blog every day and think, I could at no time in my life go and do and see what you have accomplished so far on this journey. I read a book about Annapurna years ago and know, again from a book, about K 2. And I’ve dreamed about seeing Iceland and Thailand and New Zealand. You have done or will do all that — and much more.
Mike, we had dinner with your parents last week, and they expressed great pride and satisfaction that you are doing what you want/need to do.
Best wishes and good luck. Keep those blog entries coming our way.
Thanks, Jim and Cheryl! We are certainly enjoying ourselves and, I think, learning a lot about ourselves as well. I am glad that you are enjoying the blog. Funny thing, though, there have been more than a few days where Sarah and I have coveted a Barcalounger ourselves! We picked up a copy of Annapurna from some other trekkers and read it while in Nepal; it was pretty amazing–no K2 tour for us, though. I’m not sure Pakistan is too keen on Americans right now. Anyway, good health to you guys and Happy Holidays.
Any chance you’ll be hitting up the Mendoza area of Argentina while you are there? Fantastic Malbecs.
Hi Tracy – We don’t have a plan at all yet for Argentina, but I think that it will go on the list of places to visit. We are enjoying trying all the wine around the world! Tomorrow, we are tasting in Hunter Valley, Australia which is the birthplace of Australian Shiraz. Yummy!
